Shirley Louise Foster

Shirley Louise Foster 82 of Coal City, Indiana passed away January 30, 2023. She was born September 12, 1940, in Knott County, Kentucky to the late Alexander and Ezzie (Moore) Short. Shirley retired as a Supervisor at Bridgestone-Firestone after 30 years. In her younger years she enjoyed bowling and bowled on several leagues, and she loved to spend time with her family. She was dearly loved and will be missed by those who knew her. Shirley is survived by her children, Michael F. Hendricks, Sherri D. Dick, her grandchildren, April, Tyler, Alex, five great grandchildren and her sister, Faye McMannis. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Charles Foster, her son, Kenny Hendricks, her grandson, Travis McNew, her sisters, Corcie Geneva, Alma and her brothers, James, Owen, Hershey, and Lee. Shirley will be laid to rest at Floral Park Cemetery in Indianapolis, IN in a private service at her request. There will be a Celebration of Life service held in the near future. Flanner Buchanan Floral Park is entrusted in helping with these final arrangements.
