Shirley Ann Morris

Shirley Ann (House) Morris was welcomed into this life on March 9, 1952 by her parents, the late Ansel and Jerldene House.

She was a delightful child who received her primary education in the Indianapolis Public School system. Shirley graduated from School #42 and Shortridge High School. She then went on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing at IUPUI, and was employed by Methodist Hospital of Indianapolis in a nursing capacity for 35 years.

After lovingly touching the lives of many, Shirley Ann departed this life on Tuesday, October 17, 2017.

She leaves to cherish her memory her devoted husband, Eddie Morris, five children, Cleo (Erika) House, Allyson R. Cole, David A. Morris, Shamon Morris, and Eddie Morris, Jr.; 10 grandchildren; sister, Janice L. House Hair; two sisters-in-law, Ruth Averett and Marie Reed; niece, Malaika Ware; two nephews, Ayinde Hair and Gyasi Hair; a longtime dear friend, Rea Robinson, and a host of other family member, fellow church members, and friends.

Homegoing services will be on Saturday, October 28 at 12 PM at Flanner Buchanan- Washington Park North, 2706 Kessler Blvd. W. Drive, with visitation from 10 AM until service time. Burial will be in Washington Park North Cemetery. Online condolences may be shared at www.flannerbuchanan.com.
