Sally Hacker Steadman, 74 of Carmel, passed away Sunday, February 26, 2017. Sally was born June 2, 1942 in Pittsburgh, PA to the late William and Dorothy Hacker. She was a graduate of Carnegie Melon University.
Sally was a mother and wife that filled her days with numerous volunteer positions including Room Mother, PTA, MADD, Band Boosters, multiple positions for swim teams and was head chauffer to activities galore. She later took a part-time position as an assistant in the Business Computer Lab at Johnson County Community College in Overland Park, Kansas until her retirement in 1999. She was a member of Second Presbyterian Church in Indianapolis.
Friends and family are invited to gather from 4:00 to 8:00 pm Friday, March 3 at Flanner and Buchanan-Carmel and also on Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 am. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am Saturday, March 4.
Sally is survived by her husband of 50 years, Lee; children, Bill (wife, Beth) Steadman and Lee Ann Steadman; granddaughters, Emily and Sara Steadman; sister, Marilyn Irwin.
