Ryan Samuel Forrest of Carmel, Indiana, age 21, died unexpectedly March 6, 2022. He was born October 5, 2000 to parents Tim and Jennifer (nee Atkinson) Forrest in Indianapolis. He attended Towne Meadow Elementary, Creekside Middle School, and was a 2019 graduate of Carmel High School. In high school, he was active on CHS’s TechHounds Robotics Team, serving as a division lead, on design team, and pit crew in his senior year. He was active in BSA Troop 112 in Carmel and achieved the rank of Eagle Scout in 2018. He was a violinist in CHS’s orchestras throughout high school. Ryan was in his junior year of college, studying Electrical Engineering at the University of Cincinnati, and had worked several co-op rotations at SentriLock LLC in the Cincinnati area. He was passionate about working on cars with his close friends and had been most recently working on restoring a C5 Corvette—a longtime dream. Ryan loved computers also, and was always ready to help a friend or family member build one or shop for components. He will be dearly missed forever by his heartbroken family and by his many wonderful friends. He was preceded in death by his grandpa John C. Forrest. Surviving are his parents Tim and Jennifer Forrest and brothers Alex and Jake Forrest, all of Carmel; grandparents Dave and Kathy (nee Edwards) Atkinson of West Chester, OH; grandma Kathe (Don) Houk of Dickinson, TX; aunt Michelle (Ty) Foster and cousins Isaac, Alice, & Luke of Liberty Township, OH; and uncle Dave (Becky) Forrest and cousins Greg and Joe Forrest of Houston, TX. Family and friends are invited to a visitation for Ryan at St. Monica Catholic Church, 6131 Michigan Road, Indianapolis on Tuesday March 15, 2022 from 11:30 am followed by a funeral mass at 1:00 pm.  Donations can be made to the Carmel Techhounds Robotics Team at https://my.cheddarup.com/c/in-honor-of-ryan-forrest or the Catholic charities of Indianapolis (1400 N.
