Rosemary Killilea

Rosemary (Doyle) Killilea, 72, passed away on January 9th, 2023, after a battle with Alzheimer’s Disease. Rosie grew up on the near east side of Indianapolis and was a graduate of Scecina Memorial High School. She spent her professional career working for American States Insurance Company and retired in 2006. She was a member of St. Gabriel Catholic Church where she volunteered in the office and served as a Eucharistic Minister, taking Holy Communion to members who could not attend Mass. She loved playing Scrabble, taking weekend trips with her girlfriends and had a flair for decorating and fashion. She is survived by her son, Andy Killilea, his wife Terri, grandchildren Anna and Carter, sisters Retta (Jerry) Tennery, Martha (Leo) Kinast, Dotti (Jim) Baxter and many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. She was also blessed with a wonderful group of very supportive friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Matt and Gertie Doyle and her sister Kathy Doyle. Calling will be on Tuesday, January 17th at Flanner & Buchanan 2950 North High School Rd, from 10 AM-11:30 AM, followed by 12:00 PM Funeral Mass at St. Gabriel Catholic Church, 6000 West 34th St. Indianapolis IN. Burial will be at Holy Cross and St. Joseph Cemetery following the funeral. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association of Central Indiana, 50 E. 91^st St, Suite 100, Indianapolis IN 46240 in honor of Matthew A. Doyle or Masses celebrated in her memory.
