Ronald Lee “Ron” Briley 79 of Greenwood, Indiana formerly of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away December 5, 2022. He was born on December 25, 1942, in Indianapolis, IN to the late Connie and Georgia Mae (Hutcherson) Briley. Ron, as he was affectionately known lived most of his life on the Westside of Indianapolis and was a graduate of Washington High School. He worked at Diamond Chain, and General Motors, retiring from Allison Transmission in 2003. Most of Ron’s career he was a Tool and Die Maker but before retiring he enjoyed the computer operated system at Allison’s and General Motors earning several accreditations through training at both companies. He proudly served his country in the United States Army and the National Guard. When Ron was younger, he enjoyed riding motorcycles and became very skilled at billiards and darts. His hobbies included tinkering with small machines, computer software and hardware, reading, watching football, or just finding a relaxing, cozy spot in the living room. Ron, and his wife Denise, enjoyed taking walks in their neighborhood and eating at local restaurants. In their spare time they would visit newly constructed model homes and gather ideals for the beautiful homes they have lived in over the years. If anyone knew Ron, they knew he enjoyed cats, and they rule the house. He would so enjoy watching the cat’s play making him laugh most of the time and the cats always gave him a napping companion. Ron is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Denise (Dare) Briley, his daughters, Beth Briley, Jenny (Chuck) Rodeghier, Cindy Lindberg, a stepson, Adrian (Elaine) Noe, his grandchildren, Sydney, Jake Rodeghier, step grandchildren, Levi, Lorelei, Leah Noe, his brother, Mike Ballard and sister-in-law, Judy Briley.
