Roberta Ann Martin (Fiscus), 84, of Zionsville, entered in eternal life on Sunday, April 11 surrounded by her family.
Born August 12, 1936 in Clinton, IN, to Robert Fiscus and Mabel Dolph, Roberta was the second eldest of six children, Bill, David, Don, Jackie, Jane, and Judy, and a member of the Clinton High School class of 1955. She married her husband, Ben Martin on December 10, 1955 after he returned from serving in US navy. Thereafter they moved to Zionsville, IN but Roberta always enjoyed returning to her hometown to visit family, friends, and celebrating the annual Little Italy Festival.
Roberta and Ben enjoyed traveling especially taking cruises and visiting casinos. Together they established and operated “B.J’s Lawnmower Service,” until his death in April of 2001.
Roberta and Ben had three children together, Doug, Terri (Jeff Davidson), and Robyn (Dave Meyer), all of whom currently reside in Zionsville. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Jama, Josh, Cody, Shelley, Travis, Tyler, Jensen, Emma, and Claire; great-grandchildren, Shelby, Emy, Avery, Henry, Elliot, Cayden, Ramsey, L.J., Kaylee, Jayden, Abel, Harper, Kennedy, Stella, and Norah.
Roberta will be remembered for her dedication to her cherished family. They will miss taking her to garage sales, her love of garden fresh tomatoes and morel mushrooms and spoiling her with her favorite chocolate-covered cherries during the holidays.
Her ashes will be laid to rest with her beloved Ben at Salem Cemetery in Zionsville, IN.
