Robert Thomas Boyer

Robert Thomas Boyer 83 of Indianapolis passed away April 25, 2020 at assisted living facility, The Harrison. Robert was born on April 24, 1937 in Chicago, IL to John Henry Boyer, Sr. and Mildred R (Stang) Boyer. Robert served our country in the US Army for 23 years. He was a Viet Nam war veteran as part of the 101st Airborne Division, the Screaming Eagles. After he retired from the Army, he spent 17 years as a Junior ROTC instructor at Northwest High School. Then for 10 years he worked as a Meijer’s Associate at the Pike Plaza location. Robert and his wife, Patricia, were long time members of St Gabriel the Archangel Catholic Church.

Robert was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia L (Gunning) Boyer, his parents, his brothers, John H Boyer, Jr and Richard Boyer, and his daughter, Eva R Boyer. Robert is survived by his daughter, Christina “Tina” (Stuart) Baker, son John (Brenda) Boyer, his granddaughter, Danielle (Gene) DuCharme, his sister Loretta (Berey) Nelson and brother William Berey.

A Military Gravesite Burial will be scheduled at a future date.
