Robert E. -Bob- Lewis

Robert E. “Bob” Lewis, 85,of Indianapolis, passed away September 13, 2016 at St. Francis Hospital. He was born November 26, 1930 inIndianapolis, IN the son of the late Glenn and Leotha (Pridemore) Lewis. He was a US Airforce veteran and a member ofthe Acton/Bunker Hill American Legion Post. He was a Pipe Fitter and a member of the IBEW at Western Electric,retiring in 1980 after 23 years of service. He served 20 years with the Town of Cumberlandon the Town Board, and was also a founding member of New Palestine BibleChurch.

He is survived by his wifeof 60 years, Rosalie (Scifres) Lewis, children, Robert R. “Randy” Lewis and hiswife Denise of Indianapolis, Russell W. Lewis and his wife Anita of NewPalestine, IN, and Rhonda Price and her husband Marc of Greenwood, IN;grandchildren, Amanda Kostroski (Kyle), Tara Jones (Matthew), Jessica Curtis(Dustin), Ashley Ailes (David), Brittney Gaffin (Eric) and Kayla Lewis;great-grandchildren, Isabella, Preston, Madelyn, Mason and Dawson.

He was preceded in deathby his parents and siblings, Lloyd Lewis, G. Leroy Lewis, George, Lewis and BelmaConnerley.

Funeral service will be 10:00AM, Friday, September 16, 2016 at Flannerand Buchanan-Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington St., Indianapolis,IN 46229. Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 8:00 PMon Thursday at the funeral home. Entombmentwill be in Washington Park East Cemetery with military rites.
