Robert Daniel Cramer was born on December 29th 1983 to Lee and Luann (Rutkowski) Cramer. He passed away on March 27th 2018 at 34 years of age.
Rob graduated from Carmel High School in 2002 where he loved history, english, creative writing and was a member of the hockey team. The passion for this sport his whole family shared with him. He was a talented chef, fine tuning his skills at Bistro de Paris, Hollyhock Hill Restaurant, and Iozzo’s Garden of Italy. Recently he had started not only working, but also training new staff at the various Metro Diner locations. When he wasn’t working, he was an amazing “shade tree” mechanic helping anyone who needed a hand and finding a solution whether it took a few hours or a few days. Rob also enjoyed reading and writing his own poetry; a joy he found while in high school.
He is survived by his loving parents, Lee and Luann Cramer; three sisters, Amy Cramer, Jackie (Marcel) Lazdins, and Katie (Justin) Kable; three nieces, Madi Cramer, Ella Kable, Meredith Kable; paternal grandparents, Robert and Mary Jo Cramer; godmother, Nancy Menke; godfather, Stas Rutkowski. Rob was very blessed to be part of two large extended families the Rutkowski’s and the Cramer’s. He was very fortunate to have so many aunts, uncles, and cousins to spend holidays, birthdays, family reunions, and summers together. He was preceded in passing by his maternal grandparents, Daniel and Gertrude Rutkowski or as he knew them Dzia Dzia and Busia.
A celebration of life will begin at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 14, 2018, at the Latvian Community Center, 1008 West 64th Street. A memorial service will follow. Memorial contributions may be directed to a GoFoundMe account https://www.gofundme.com/in-memory-of-rob-cramer. Arrangements were entrusted to Flanner Buchanan – Carmel.
