Robert “Bob” William Dixon, 80, of Brownsburg, Indiana passed away March 20, 2018. He was born June 15, 1937 in Blackey, Kentucky to William and Ruth Dixon; one of eight children.
Family remembers Bob as a private man who loved the outdoors. He enjoyed golfing, hunting and fishing; one of his favorite places to be was Dale Hollow. He was employed by General Motors as a supervisor for 31 years until his retirement in 1991. Bob also joined the local Masonic lodge in 1967, where he was still an active Mason until his passing.
Bob is preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Agnus Campbell (Dixon), Sara Biford (Dixon), Marjie Adkins (Dixon), Frank Dixon, James Dixon. Surviving to cherish his memory are his children, Greg (Kara) Dixon and Mark (Penny) Dixon; siblings, Billie (Wayne) Tucker (Dixon), and Nancy Dixon; grandchildren, Shannon (Kenny) Wilkerson, Chad Dixon, Brooke (Mike) Dinnen, Matt Dixon, and Jake Dixon; great-grandchildren, Chandler Browning, Kateleigh Browning, Maddilyn Browning, Chase Wilkerson, and Willie Dixon; as well as a host of extended family members and friends.
Friends and family may visit Saturday, March 24 from 10-2 PM at Flanner Buchanan – Decatur Township, 5463 Kentucky Avenue, Indianapolis 46221. A Masonic service will start at 1:30 PM with funeral services following at 2 PM. Bob will be laid to rest at Mooresville Town Cemetery immediately following services.
