Richard V. Koors

Richard “Dick” V. Koors, 82, of Fortville, IN passed away surrounded by loved ones on December 7, 2020. He was born in Indianapolis on March 11, 1938.

Dick was a dedicated father who worked hard to provide for his family. He worked as a type printer for many years, finally retiring from the IndyStar. He also loved to garden and had a green thumb with even the most difficult varieties of plants.

He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Alice Koors, who passed August 20, 2004. They previously lost their first-born daughter, Sally Ann, way too soon at the age of 28, in June of 1990. He is also preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Mabel Koors.

Dick is survived by his adoring daughters, Diana (James) Beard and Lisa (Jack) Larrison; grandchildren, Ricky (Rachael) Jones, Kerry (Dana) Fink, Sarah Beard, and Scott Larrison; siblings, Ruby and Nancy; and several beloved brother and sister in laws as well as nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at Flanner Buchanan – Memorial Park, 9350 East Washington St. Indianapolis, IN 46229 on Saturday, December 12, 2020 from 10am to 12 noon with funeral services to being at 12 noon.
