Rebecca "Becky" Ann Persinger

Rebecca “Becky” Ann Persinger (Ricketts) of Indianapolis, age 67, lost her very brave battle with breast cancer on April 25th, 2023. She passed away at home with her family by her side. Becky was born in Indianapolis on December 25th, 1955. She proudly attended Stephen Foster I.P.S. #67 and graduated from Ben Davis High School in 1974. Out of high school, she married Lionel Persinger Jr. and they were blessed with two children who have always been her heart and soul. Becky’s proudest accomplishment was being a dedicated and loving Mom to her children and Gigi to her two grandchildren. She was loyal and fiercely loved her family and friends. She dearly loved her pet family as well. Becky had a successful career of over 20 years as a Warranty Clerk for Honda West/Honda of Fishers. In recent years, she was able to retire and acted as loving caregiver to her Mother, Jean. She very much enjoyed decorating her home and always had a special flair for that. She also enjoyed traveling to Florida with her family to visit Disney and Universal Studios as often as she could. She loved music, especially The Beatles and the Rolling Stones, and was able to see both bands and many more in her lifetime. Becky was greatly loved by all.

She is survived by her Mother, Jean Ricketts; her two children, Lionel (Lyny) Persinger III and Jade Brown (Dave); two grandchildren, Avery Kennard and Dylan Brown; her sister, Pam Ricketts Herkless (TC), and many other loving family members and friends. She is preceded in death by her father, Earl Thomas Ricketts; her former husband, Lionel “Lynn” Persinger Jr., and her grandparents on both sides. Please join us in honoring her memory on Saturday, April 29th at Flanner Buchanan-Floral Park, with showing from Noon until 2:00 p.m. and service at 2:00 p.m. Procession to the cemetery will follow the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
