Polly A. Auberry, 87 of Indianapolis, passed away Saturday, November 4, 2017. She was born December 15, 1929 in Deputy, IN. She was Salutatorian of her 1948 Deputy High School class. She moved to Indianapolis and worked for Sears for three years until she became a full time homemaker. She was married on April 7, 1951 to Robert A. Auberry at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. She was a member at St. Ann Catholic Church for over 60 years. She was an avid bowler and enjoyed many years of bowling at Western Bowl and bowling tournaments around the country. She loved being outdoors and telling her family what kind of bird was singing. She loved to travel, especially if it involved a stop at a casino. She loved to play cards and believed she could beat anyone at Euchre.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, her brothers, Hiram, Jack, Frank, William and Robert Foster and her sisters, Madge McGill and Lois Deputy as well as several nieces and nephews.
She is survived by her daughter, Carol (Dennis) Butterfield, son, Michael (Cheryl) Auberry, her grandchildren, Stacy, Amos, Jeremy, Adrianne and Alisha and great-grandchildren, Austin, Lucas, Stell, Cora and Wyatt and 38 nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her brother-in-law, Carl Auberry and sisters-in-law, Mickey Thatcher and Nancy Auberry.
Friends may visit with Polly’s family from 10 am until Mass time at 11 am Thursday, November 9, 2017 at St. Ann Catholic Church, 6350 S. Mooresville Road, Indianapolis. Arrangements entrusted to Flanner Buchanan – Decatur Township, 5364 Kentucky Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46221.
