Phyllis Jean Scott

Phyllis J. Scott went to be with our Lord Monday, October 10, 2022, at the age of 92.

She is survived by 6 children: Cynthia Lunsford, Pamela Keller, Steven Scott, Melissa Covert, Michele Scott, and P.J. Scott; 12 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; and 8 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Charles L. Scott, who died on April 2, 1987.

Phyllis Scott married Mike Dikum in 1997 and they moved to Lady Lake, Florida. Mike died in December of 2000. In June of 2019 Phyllis fell and had a significant back injury. The injury led her to move to New Mexico with her daughter until she recuperated. Phyllis moved back home to Indiana in December of 2019, where she resided at Meadow Brook retirement home until her passing.

Phyllis worked in bank management at American Fletcher Bank, Bank One, and Chase Bank until she retired.

She enjoyed reading good books, listening to classical and big band music, researching her genealogy, and golfing.

Phyllis was a kind, gentle woman who loved life and enjoyed it to the fullest. She will be missed by all who knew her.
