Phillip Wayne Paxton

April 1, 1962 — February 9, 2023

Fishers, Indiana

Phillip Wayne Paxton, 60, of Fishers passed away February 9, 2023.  He was born April 1, 1962, in Wabash the son of the late JC Paxton and Millicent (Horn) Andrews.

Phil was a 1980 graduate of Warsaw High School. He then went on to receive his bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Taylor University.  Phil enjoyed a wonderful career in Information Systems and began his career with St. Vincent Hospital.  While at St. Vincent he met his future wife, Holly Bramhall. Phil enjoyed juggling and traveling the Mid-West for various festivals.  Phil also loved soccer before it was popular in this country.  He played in college and also in adult leagues after college.  He turned to coaching children and teaching them his love of the game in both Warsaw and Indianapolis.  Phil was an avid reader and news junkie. If he was asked a question at work and didn’t know the answer, he was not afraid to say I don’t know but I can find the answer.  He never failed to find the answer to any question anyone asked.  He had a soft spot for his beloved canines, being able to rescue several thru the years and giving them a loving, warm, safe home.

He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Holly Paxton; two sisters, Michelle (Don) Melton (Brownsburg, IN) and Karen (Arnold) Horan Vancouver, B.C., Canada); uncle, Charles (Penny) Paxton (Columbia, SC); aunt, Elma Lu Cassbolt (Olympia, WA); and mother-in-law, Marilyn Bramhall (Richmond, IN) as well as cousins and nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in passing by his maternal grandparents, Owen and Florence Horn; paternal grandparents, Joe and Clover Paxton; and father-in-law, John “Bud” Bramhall.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to First English Lutheran Church, 2727 East Main Street, Richmond, IN 47374.  Arrangements were entrusted to Flanner Buchanan – Carmel.  Online condolences may be shared by visiting www.flannerbuchanan.com.
