Peggy Lou Barrett

Peggy Lou Barrett, 74, passed away on August 27, 2023 at IU Health West Hospital.

Peggy was born on August 26, 1949 in Irvine, Kentucky the daughter of Russell Dennis and Bonnie (Singleton) Dennis.   Peggy married James Barrett on September 4, 1966.  He preceded her in death in 2005.   Peggy enjoyed reading and word search puzzles.  She loved and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.    Peggy was a long-time member of Brownsburg Baptist Church.   For the last year, Peggy was a resident of Wellbrooke of Avon Senior Living.

Peggy is also preceded in death by her parents Russell and Bonnie Dennis, brothers Tom Dennis and Ken Dennis, sisters Mary Hamill and Jeanetta James. 

Peggy is survived by her two daughters; Jamie Burns and husband Larry Burns of Avon Indiana and Janie Murphy and husband Jim Murphy of Moore South Carolina; grandchildren: Rachel (Burns) Parker and husband Matt Parker, Sarah Burns, Alexander Murphy, Haven Murphy, and Hope Murphy, brothers Duane Dennis and Don Dennis, sisters Barbara Taylor and Carol Jessup, and many nieces and nephews.
