Paul Everett Shipley

Paul Everett Shipley, 87 of Burkesville, KY, passed away September 3, 2017. He was born May 7, 1930 in Nashville, IN to Jesse and Stella Shipley. Paul worked as a farmer and truck driver, retiring from the Teamsters Union in 1995. He enjoyed watching sports. His favorite teams were IU and Butler, Cubs and Yankees and Green Bay Packers. He also enjoyed working in his garden but his greatest enjoyment was fishing. He was a member of the Burkesville Baptist Church.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Pauletta Herald, three brothers, three sisters and two grandchildren. Surviving to cherish his memory are his wife, Judy, children, Loraetta (Mike) Light, Cynthia (Keith) Harper, Teresa (Jerry) Maners, Deanna (Jeff) New, James (Linda) Shipley and Thomas (Ronda) Shipley, step-sons, Travis (Linda) Gasper and Michael Gasper, step-daughter, Julie Hedger, 21 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

Friends may visit with his family from 11 am until service time at 1 pm Thursday, September 7, 2017 at Flanner and Buchanan – Floral Park, 425 N. Holt Rd., Indianapolis.
