Patsy W. Fitch

Patsy W. Fitch, 89, of Brownsburg, IN, passed away June 27, 2020. Patsy was born on May 13, 1931 in Henderson, Kentucky as the daughter of John Wilhite and Tellous Lane.

After high school, Patsy went on to further her education in college. She then went into the work force working as a secretary for the Indiana Attorney General’s Office. After working at the Attorney General’s Office for 10 years she went on to work at the Marion County Clerk’s Office for 8 years and then to the Marion County Assessor’s Office for 15 years.

Patsy married the love of her life, Robert “Bob” Fitch on October 7, 1977. Together they settled down and made Indianapolis their home.

Patsy was a member of the Eastern Star Lodge #720. Patsy and Bob enjoyed traveling out west and spending time in Florida. She loved dancing and singing, and even sang with a band in Seattle in her younger years.

Patsy is survived by her children: Carla (David) Perkins of Brownsburg, IN, and Mark Tyler of Indianapolis, IN; step children: Richard Lee Fitch of Wyoming, Alberta (Marvin) Wall of Montana, Nancy Jo Sleeper, Robert Man (Arlene) Fitch of Montana, Stephen Dwane (Sherlene) Thompson of Arizona, Myron Burt Fitch of Virginia, Phyllis May (Lynn) Slayman of Colorado; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Patsy is preceded in death by her parents; son, Randy Tyler; and husband, Bob.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Indianapolis Humane Society or the American Cancer Society.  

Visitation will be held Thursday, July 2, 2020 from 12-2PM with a funeral service to begin at 2PM at Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington St., Indianapolis, IN.
