Nevada Purdy

A loving gentle God fearing Christian woman, went home to rest with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, on April 21, 2016. Her journey on this earth began April 12, 1929 in Welches Creek, Kentucky as the second child born to Odell and Anna Gray (Embry) Le Grand. She began work at the age of thirteen to help her family during difficult times, retired from RCA, and was influential in the establishment of Purdy Masonry Incorporated. She was a member of the church of Christ at Greenwood. She was preceded in death by her husband John A. Purdy. She is survived by her loving children, Joe Ann Allen, Mary Johnetta Ziobron (Gene), Donald L. Purdy (Chris), Edward A. Purdy (Julie), Loretta J. Hendricks (Jeff), 11 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Visitation will be held Monday from 11am until time of the funeral services at 1pm Flanner and Buchanan- Floral Park.
