Nancy Anne McClellan, 81, of Brownsburg, Indiana, departed from us on September 14 after losing her battle with liver disease.
Nancy was a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother, and friend to all who met her. She married George at a young age and loved him for 64 years. Nancy is survived by her children, Jeff McClellan and Dawn Allen. Nancy is fondly known as “Nan” to her six grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and number eight on the way.
Graduating from Carmel High School, she married George and began her life-long journey with him, and believe me, it was an exciting journey with George. Nancy and George met lifelong friends while square dancing all over central Indiana. They kept close to their friends most of their lives.
Nancy and George moved to their Hendricks county farm in 1973; where they called home for 46 years. They began camping (a new experience for Nancy) and traveling through the USA and Canada on long vacations. Once the country-wide travels slowed down, Nancy and George began wintering in the Florida Keys. They enjoyed their time together in the Sunshine State for over 20 winters.
We will always remember Nancy as a loving wife to George, and as a kind, compassionate mother, and grandmother. We will miss her smile for many years to come.
