Michael “Steve” Culley

71, of Indianapolis, passed away Monday, October 9, 2017. He was born on January 30, 1946 in Indianapolis as the son of James and Nyla Culley.
After graduation from Howe High School, Steve served in the Army for 4 years, where he spent time over-seas in Germany. After serving our country Steve went to work as a lineman in communications, where he eventually retired from AT&T.
One of Steve’s favorite past times was camping and spending time with his grandkids. He also enjoyed vacationing with his family, and with being an outdoorsman, one of his favorite vacation spots was in Gatlinburg and spending time in the Smoky Mountains.
Steve is survived by his children: Betty (Terry) Humerickhouse, Bobbie (Dustin) Allen, and William Wood; grandchildren: Michael, A.J. Kyndell, Kellan, Ciara, and Billy; great-grandchild, Marcel; siblings: Jim Culley, Susie Britton, and Kevin Culley. Steve is also survived by his significant other, Shirley Richard.
Steve was preceded in death by his parents, James and Nyla Culley; wife, Nancy L. Culley; and brother Richard Culley.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 13, 2017 at Flanner and Buchanan – Memorial Park from 5-8pm. Funeral services will take place Saturday morning at 11am, also at the funeral home, with additional visitation 1 hour prior. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made out to the American Heart Association.
