Mary Joan Haun

Mary Joan Haun, born January 19, 1929, passed away August 30, at the age of 92 years old.

She was born in Indianapolis and attended St. Mary’s High School.
She married John Maxwell Haun, deceased. Together they had 2 sons Michael Haun, Donald Haun & 2 daughters Janice Hunt & Cindy Schaefer. She also had 6 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren, all of which she was immensely proud. She was preceded in death by her son Donald Haun, parents Mabel & Edward Doyle and 2 brothers Paul & Leo Doyle.

She worked as a stay-at-home mom until her 40s when she went to work at the GM Truck & Bus Factory, retiring after 25 years of service. She loved to travel with her adult children and was able to travel to many states and see several wonderful countries in her travels. She also enjoyed small day trips with her friends after retirement.

There will be a small graveside service at 11 a.m. Thursday, September 2, 2021 at St. Joseph’s Cemetery at 2446 S. Meridian St. in Indianapolis.
