Mary Jane Sparks

Mary Jane Sparks, of Indianapolis, passed away on Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at the age of 75. Mary was born in Indianapolis, Indiana to William and Lois Sparks on December 6, 1942.
During her lifetime Mary really lived up to her name – Sparks… She could always light up a room with her sparkling and energetic personality. And she focused most of this energy on her love for her family as well as caring for other people. While raising her only son, Aaron, she worked at the Nursing Home as a Housekeeper. She loved working there and would always go above and beyond to make sure that the residents were always cared for and happy. Mary was always a strong-willed woman who worked hard and took care of everyone, but Aaron was always her number one priority no matter what. She loved him with all her heart and always made sure he was genuinely happy and knew how much she cared about him. Mary’s intentions were always pure, and she will be missed by all who knew her.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, William and Lois (Benjamin) Sparks; sisters, Sharon Rose and Karen Wood-Dras; aunts, Deita, Elsie and Alice;nephew, Joshua Sparks; niece, Wendi Sparks; and her beloved pets, Jo Jo and Bailey.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her loving son, Aaron Sparks; brothers, William K. Sparks, Jr. and Frank Wood, Jr.; sisters, Marilyn Sparks-Smith, Kathy Arsenault, Cinde Fedowicz; and her beloved niece Brandy Brydon. Mary also leaves behind three grand dogs, Titus, Miracle and Presley – A.K.A: the PREZ.
A visitation will be held at Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park East, 10722 E Washington Street, Indianapolis, on Monday, August 20, 2018 from 4-8pm, a service will be held at 6pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the “Every Dog Counts Rescue”; PO Box 108, Zionsville, Indiana 46077.
