Mary Ellen Fisher

Mary Ellen Fisher 76 of Indianapolis, Indiana went to be with the Lord September 22, 2022. She was born June 19, 1946, in Decatur, Illinois to the late, Robert E. and Clara M. (Coleman) Maxwell. Mary Ellen worked at various jobs in her life including as a Teacher’s Assistant with Wayne Township School System and with the Department of Revenue being her last job retiring in June of 2011. Her favorite job though, was being a Babysitter, especially for her grandchildren, whom she dearly loved and cherished. Mary Ellen enjoyed crocheting, working in her flower gardens, traveling with her family, cooking and some of the family favorite dishes were Roast with Potatoes and Carrots, Meat Loaf and she enjoyed making many delicious goodies during the Christmas season. She enjoyed making the Holidays very special for all her loved ones and she loved going and supporting her grandchildren in the various sporting events that they would participate in. Mary Ellen was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She was a member of the Eternal Life Tabernacle and loved her church and her church family. Mary Ellen leaves her loving children, LaDonna Fisher and Greg (Linda) Fisher, grandchildren, Grant (Estella) Fisher, Courtney Fisher, Hailey Fisher Sherwood, Emma Fisher, her great grandchildren, Austin James “AJ”, and one on the way yet to make an appearance, her sisters, Joyce White, Clara Bozzelli, and her brother, Joe Maxwell, and a host of extended family and friends. Besides her parents she was preceded in death her loving husband, James A. Fisher. Visitation for Mary Ellen will be held on Thursday, September 29, 2022, from 4:00-8:00pm at Flanner Buchanan Floral Park with her service on Friday, September 30, 2022, at 11:00am also there. She will be laid to rest at West Ridge Park Cemetery- Indianapolis, Indiana, following her service. Pastor Mark Pingleton will officiate her funeral service.
