Mary Belle Thomas, 80, of Indianapolis, passed away at home on Tuesday, September 10, 2019.
She was born on May 22, 1939 in Knoxville, TN to the late Milton and Rachel M. (Sims) Denny. Mary enjoyed gardening, arranging flowers and cooking meals for her family. She was a devoted caretaker to everyone and a wonderful mother.
She is survived by her children, Gwendolyn (William) Dalton, Robert (Judy) Thomas, Jr., Karen (Jim) Dennis, Carl (Vivian) Thomas; 5 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Mary is also survived by her sisters, Kathleen Treadway and Lucy Hickson. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert Thomas, Sr.; and son, Alan Thomas.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 16, 2019 at Flanner Buchanan – Memorial Park from 1-2pm, with funeral services immediately following. Mary will be laid to rest with her husband and son in Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends are invited to leave online condolences for the family at www.flannerbuchanan.com.
