Martha E. Hamilton Clift 91 of Avon, Indiana passed away March 7, 2023. She was born May 24, 1931, to the late Francis A. and Sylvia M. (Baker) Robertson. Martha attended Ben Davis High School before venturing into the work world. She worked at various jobs during her work career including RCA, the Indianapolis Star News, Maplehurst Dairy and driving a School Bus for 10 years for the MSD Wayne Township before retiring to Fort Lauderdale, Florida where she resided for 30 years until 2009, when she returned to Indiana. Martha was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion, and a former member of West Morris Street Free Methodist Church. She enjoyed Flower Arranging, Handicrafts, Bowling, Boating, Cake Decorating, and spending time with her family. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed. Martha is survived by her children, Peggy (Paul) Morlan, Gary (Sandy) Hamilton, Daryl (Patty) Hamilton, Tracy (Debbie) Sampson, Shelly Clift Perry, her grandchildren, Candice, Gary, Dawn, Ricky, Lisa, Mike, Jackie, Cole, her numerous great grandchildren, her great-great grandchild, and her sister, Mary Edith (Poncho) Batman. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husbands, Ronald L. Clift and Glen Hamilton, and her siblings, Paul E. Robertson, Alice L. McWethy, Sylvia R. Vester, Pauline F. Robertson, Sarah J. Robertson, Wanda A. “Coonie “Arthur, and Rebecca S. “Becky” Russell. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 10, 2023, from 4:00pm-8:00pm and Saturday, March 11, 2023, 11:00am-1:00pm at Flanner Buchanan Floral Park with the funeral service there on Saturday, March 11, 2023, at 1: 00pm. Those unable to attend in person may join her family remotely with a Live Stream of her service. She will be laid to rest at Floral Park Cemetery Mausoleum following the service. The family would like to thank the staff at the Village of Avon and Paradigm Health for their caring and attentive support during Martha’s final days.
