Marilyn June Reeves

Marilyn June Reeves passed away on December 14, 2022, at the age of 92.  She was born January 26, 1930, in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Harry Anton Ostermeier and Emma Hartman Ostermeier.  She graduated from Manuel High School.  She married Robert (Bob) Reeves in 1950.  She always considered herself a member of Church of the Savior United Methodist Church.

Marilyn is survived by daughters, Cindy (Greg) Stevenson of Lafayette, Indiana and Dawn (Tod) Bassler of Greenwood, Indiana; granddaughters, Sarah (Brennan) Freeman of Greenwood, Indiana, Stacy Stevenson of Lafayette, Indiana, and Paige (Trevor) Overstreet of West Lafayette, Indiana.  Marilyn was the beloved “Turtle” to four great grandchildren, Jack, Mason and Addie June Freeman, and Kelby Overstreet.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 39 years, Bob, her son Robert Jr (JR), and brother Richard Ostermeier.

In recent years, Marilyn was an avid card player; she also enjoyed shopping, especially at JCPenney.  Most of all, she loved her great-grandkids and spending time with them.

Family and friends may gather from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 20, 2022, at Flanner Buchanan – Oaklawn Memorial Gardens (Good Shepherd Chapel), 9700 Allisonville Road, Indianapolis, Indiana 46250.  A Celebration of Life will begin there at 11:00 a.m.  Interment in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be donated to Greenwood Village South, 295 Village Lane, Greenwood, Indiana 46143; Attn: Accounting Department.
