Margaret Ann Cooper

July 9, 1945 — December 21, 2022

Indianapolis, IN

Margaret Ann Cooper, 77, passed away on December 21, 2022.

She was born in Mount Vernon, KY to her parents Fred A. and Zora Bell McFerron

Margaret had a very strong faith in God. John 13:34 says, A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. To know Margaret was to know she lived by these words, and she never wavered. She had a genuine love for mankind. She loved without judgement and loved with her whole heart. She was pure joy. Margaret laughed from deep within her soul, and when you heard it, you could do nothing but laugh along. The life Margaret lived inspired all who knew her to want to be a better person.

She is survived by her husband of 32 years, Larry Cooper; her sons, Don Cooper (Dianna), Brian Alexander, Dan Cooper (Paola) and Doug Cooper (Stephanie); her daughters Sandy Smith (Marlon) and April Adette; sisters, Etta Johnson (Richard), Ruth Berry; brother Freddie McFerron (Tonya), 11 grandkids, 13 great grandkids, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Fred A. McFerron, Zora Bell McFerron (Payne), brothers Neal McFerron and Norman McFerron, sister; Lois Addair, and daughter Cindy Ann Williams.

Funeral services will be held at Flanner Buchanan Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington Street Indianapolis. Visitation will be on Tuesday December 27 from 4pm to 8pm. Additional visitation will be held on Wednesday December 28 from 11am to 12pm with a funeral service beginning at 12pm.
