Lynne Anne (Coval) Haughey

June 5, 1968 — October 2, 2017

After a courageous five-year battle with metastasized cancer, Lynne is now without bodily suffering and is at peace with her Lord, having passed Monday afternoon October 2nd with her parents at her side. Only those closest to her knew the depth of her suffering because she always was more concerned about her dear friends’ and relatives’ well-being. We can truly say that Lynne’s trials never blighted her essence, her soul, her spirit. Lynne will be sorely missed but kindly remembered by many.

Lynne Anne (Coval) Haughey was born June 5, 1968, in Indianapolis, the daughter of Robert and Betty (Campbell) Coval. Lynne loved sports. She began basketball in the 4th grade, and progressed as a major contributor for a highly successful Warren Central High School team. Lynne was additionally an excellent student, earning academic and basketball scholarships to Tri-State University (now Trine).

Lynne graduated in 1990 with a BS in Mechanical Engineering and took a position with Eli Lilly. She loved her work and the people at Lilly. Being a “people person”, she eventually migrated to Human Resources where she rose to a Senior HR Director position. Lynne thoroughly enjoyed her assignments in Manassas, VA and Liverpool, England. She had just accepted a new adventure in Ireland when illness intervened in late 2012.

She is survived by her loving parents; brother Greg (Kathleen) Coval; two nieces, Candice (Louis) Gregoire and Laura Lynne Coval; great nephew Owen, and great nieces Loba and Zoe.

A Celebration of Life will be from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM Saturday, October 14, 2017 at Outlook Christian Church, 6531 North 600 West, McCordsville, with a memorial service to begin at 3:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Cancer Support Community Central Indiana, 5150 W. 71st Street, Indianapolis IN 46268 – where Lynne and her mom enjoyed their Cooking for Wellness program. Online condolences may be shared by visiting www.flannerbuchanan.com. Arrangements were entrusted to Flanner & Buchanan – Carmel.
