Lucy Mae (Scott) Lane
Age 73, of Indianapolis, departed this life on Friday, July 29, 2016. She was born in Oakland, Tennessee on November 20, 1942 to the late Alfred Scott and Lucy Ann (Keath) Jordan.
Lucy, a homemaker, worked for several years at RCA. She adored her family and enjoyed hosting large family gatherings, especially during the holidays. She was an excellent cook- her dressing always anticipated at family gatherings, sewing and dancing.
Lucy was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Lucy Ann; siblings: John Ella Moore, Isaac Willis, Virginia Flemming, Ethel Scott, Lula Mae Shaw, Calvin Goodwin Sr, Joe Ingrams, Bernice Hill, Serlene Johnson, and George and Will Williams.
She is survived by her beloved children: Andre L. Lane (Dawn) of Lakeland, FL, Annette L. Bryant (Robert) of Indianapolis, IN, Arnetria L. Logan-Samuels (David) of Indianapolis, IN, Ana L. Fleming (Bobby) of Memphis, TN, Audra L. Washington (Gregory) of Indianapolis, IN and Arletta L. Alexander (Curlee) of Indianapolis, IN; siblings: Vera Pennybaker and Frank Jordan; 24 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of extended family members and friends.
Friends may call from 10am until 12 Noon on Saturday, August 6th at Flanner and Buchanan- Washington Park East with services to immediately follow at 12 Noon. Burial will be in Washington Park East Cemetery.
