Lucy C. Fowler, 85, passed away peacefully on June 14, 2023, with her family by her side.
She was born on July 18, 1937, in Groton, Connecticut, to Phillip and Charlotte Brown.
Lucy was a loving sister, wife, mother, grandmother and friend to all of those who knew her. She worked for Balkamp (Napa Auto Parts Distributor) in Plainfield for 35 years. She quickly worked her way up from the warehouse to a front office position. She was proud to work for Balkamp who treated her well, even after she retired from the company. Most of the time, you would find a book in her hand. She read most books in a single day, and when she was not reading, you could find her working on puzzles. Her beautiful smile, sense of humor, kind heart, and the way she loved her family will be missed.
She is survived by her children; George (Patti) Daviau, Scott Daviau, Wayne (Virginia) Nash, Shannon (Wanda) Nash, Shawn (Kimberly) Nash, Lester (Angie) Fowler, Jack Fowler and Roger Fowler. She is also survived by 33 grandchildren, 44 great grandchildren and 16 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Asberry Fowler, her son Heath Fowler, and daughters Dianna Burkhart, Rita (Lynette) Satter and Pam Dinkens. She was also preceded in death by her two sisters, Mary Startz and Grace Brown.
