Louis Campagna, 73 of Indianapolis, formerly of Lansing, Illinois, passed away Thursday, December 9, at his home. Louis was born on May 22, 1948, to Louis Campagna and Lottie Campagna. He honorably served our country in the Vietnam War in the First Cavalry Division for two years. He attended Thornton Fractional South, St. Ann’s and graduated from Northern Illinois University, where he met his future wife Joan Campagna, who preceded him in death in 2013. Louis loved all things history, science, and sci-fi, gardening, and spending time with his family and grandchildren. He was also a HUGE fan of the Chicago Cubs, and he made sure to never miss watching a game.
Louis is preceded in death by his loving wife, Joan Campagna, and his parents, Louis and Lottie Campagna. He is survived by his daughters, Ashley Campagna and Lindsay Golden, grandchildren, Braden Alban, Liam Mervar, Annita Golden, Justina Golden, Leicie Golden, Zorian Golden, and Zoyie Golden. He is also survived by his niece, Kelly Beringer, and nephew, Don Polly.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 15, 2022, at 11am at Flanner Buchanan-Washington Park North. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to the
