Lorene Howard

Lorene Howard of New Palestine died January 16, 2020 at the age of 83. She will forever be remembered by her loving family. She was born August 12, 1936 in Moss, Tennessee to the late Lee and Ova Guffey.

Lorene was a great cook and enjoyed canning and entertaining, especially hosting her family for the holidays. She also enjoyed quilting, flowers (especially her roses), and Gospel music.

She is survived by her children Donald (Kim) Howard, Ralph (Diane) Howard; Thomas Howard, Carolyn (Lisa) Howard, and Jackie (Phaedra) Howard; grandchildren Paige, Deanne, Brian, James, Christopher, Emma, Ryan, Daniel, Kyle, Bradley, Jared and Jeniece; 13 great-grandchildren; and siblings Ada, Lena Rose, and James.

She was preceded in death by her husband Clenton Howard and four siblings.

Visitation will be held Thursday, January 23 from 11 AM to 1 PM at Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington St, Indianapolis with a Funeral Service beginning 1 PM.  Burial will follow at Washington Park East Cemetery.

Memorial contributions in her memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
