Indianapolis, IN

Lisa Marion, 63, passed away June 12 after a battle with cancer. Lisa was born in Indianapolis, IN to Vesper Denton and Gilda Ruth Marion on March 25, 1960. Lisa graduated from Franklin College and became a teacher at Lakeview Christian School, where she educated young minds for several years. Lisa was a devoted and entertaining educator, whose passion for using storytelling to educate would be felt within each lesson.

A servant of God her whole life, Lisa spent her days as a support to her community, family, and church. Lisa was a member of First Assembly of God of Speedway as a child. In her adult years, she became a member of Living Waters Ministry and volunteered as treasurer for the Church.

Lisa was a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and friend to all who knew her. Up until her last moments, she was surrounded with love and laughter. Lisa was a lover of travel and if she was wanting to relax, she would be seen on a beach with her toes in the sand and a book in her hand.

Lisa is survived by sisters Kathy Marion Meiring, Nancy (Roger) Young, and brother Denton Marion; her three nieces Stacy (Greg) Johnson, Jennifer (James) Pruitt, Laura Young; her nephew Jason Meiring; her great-nephew James (Destiny) Pruitt; her great-nieces Jordan (Preston) Fennell, Becky Pruitt, and Cheyanne Meiring; her three great-great-nieces Charleigh, Lennox, and Collins Fennell; and her great-great-nephew Henry Pruitt.

Lisa was preceded in death by her beloved parents Vesper and Gilda Ruth Marion and her dear dog Obie.
