Avon, IN

Miss Linda T. Guyse was born on November 5, 1951, in Indianapolis, Indiana. She was the daughter of Lindbergh Guyse and Viola Guyse.

Linda retired from U.S. Airways in 2007 after 25 years of service. She enjoyed traveling, reading, crossword puzzles, and hanging out at family gatherings.

She professed a hope in Jesus Christ at age 11 and was baptized by the late Rev. James Earl King at Ebenezer Baptist Church. In the late 1990’s she moved her membership to Salt Of The Earth Baptist Church where she became an active member of the adult choir, serving as president. She also participated in the Hospitality Committee, and the Women’s Fellowship, later renamed Collage.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, and her sister Arnetta M. Herring.

On November 9, 2022, at the age of 71 years old, Miss Linda Guyse departed this life. She leaves to cherish her memory a dedicated daughter Christina D. Guyse; sisters Mildred A. Guyse, and Theresa M. (Lonnie) Mabry; brother Marcus (Mercedes) Guyse; nephews Timothy J. Smith of Fort Wayne, IN., Mark A. Brown, Jr., and Alijah Guyse; nieces Madison A. Guyse and Victoria Guyse; great-nieces Alycia Smith and Mariah A. Brown; and great-nephew Timothy J. Smith, Jr. of Fort Wayne, IN. In addition, Linda leaves a host of cousins, church family, and friends to mourn her loss.

Don’t spend too much time mourning.

Tears are for the sad.

I left to be with Jesus

And this should make you glad.
