Linda Sue (Denning) Hazzard was born on October 18, 1937, in Portland, TN to Frank (Jack) Felts Denning and Ruth Denton (Minor) Denning. She was an only child.
On June 15, 1957, she married Charles Eugene Hazzard and had two daughters, Jacki Hazzard Alexander (Mike) and Sheri Hazzard Brill-McRoy (Mike).
Linda is survived by her daughters Jacki, Sheri (Mike); her grandchildren, Kerri Gladson (Matt), Adam Alexander (Leah), Matthew Brill (Tiffany), and Megan Alexander. She has 7 great-grandchildren, Hudson Brill, Dean Gladson, Katelyn Perry, Mason Gladson, Andrew Barriger, Jackson Alexander and Anna Alexander.
Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, and son-in-law Mike Alexander.
Linda graduated from Warren Central High School in 1955. She worked as a secretary for Wilking Music, Rybolt Heating and Cooling and Boise Cascade. Linda found her true calling when she entered into a real estate career, working at Schmadeke, Ludlow, F.C. Tucker and Carpentry Realty. She enjoyed selling houses and being the managing broker at Carpenter Realty, earning numerous industry awards throughout her over forty-year career.
Linda enjoyed spending time with family, camping and fishing, and playing the slots at casinos, especially Vegas.
Linda passed away peacefully with her daughters by her side on Wednesday, February 1st.
A memorial gathering for Linda will be from 2-4pm on Tuesday, February 7, 2023, at Flanner Buchanan Washington Park East – 10722 E. Washington St., Indianapolis, IN 46229, with a memorial service immediately following at 4pm.
