Linda Elizabeth Mcphail

Linda Elizabeth (Eid) McPhail, 69, of Indianapolis, passed away at home on Sunday, September 22, 2019.

She was born on June 10, 1950 in Indianapolis to the late Ralph J. and Irma E. Eid. Linda was a 1968 graduate of Warren Central High School and earned her B.S. in education from Indiana Central College. She worked as a substitute teacher but worked most recently in retail sales at Kohls Department Store. Linda was an exuberant, congenial person with a wide circle of friends. She also enjoyed contentment at home with her yard and its environment, as well as needlepoint and crafts in her home. However, Linda’s greatest joy was being involved in her church, Good Shepherd United Methodist, where she served in many roles. She was active with the Trustees, the Kitchen Committee, United Methodist Women’s Community Outreach and the Covenant Keepers Sunday School class.

Linda is survived by her brother, Jon Eid and his wife, Zaitun; an extended family of caring individuals; close friends, Nancy Adams, Mary Smallwood, Lenore Patterson, Beverly Adams and Lorraine Koloseik. Linda is also survived by many special neighbors, co-workers, and her beloved church family.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2019 from 10am-12pm at Good Shepherd United Methodist Church, with a funeral service immediately following. Linda will be laid to rest with her parents in Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are encouraged to her church.
