Lenore Miller King
101, of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away on August 8, 2022, in Carmel, Indiana. Lenore was born on March 10, 1921, in Roachdale, Indiana to the late Silas and Alma Miller. She was a graduate of Washington High School. She was a retired office manager for the League of Women Voters. She was a member of Hawthorne Community Center where she directed a senior lunch program. She was also a member of Westpark Christian Church and past president of the PTA for school #50. She lived in the Hawthorne neighborhood for 90 years. She never wanted to leave the westside. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Russell Miller and Leona Malcom and her parents. She is survived by her children, Garry (Patricia) King and Sharon King; grandchildren, Jaime (Francisco) Aguayo, Michael (Cheryl) Budd, Kathy Douglas-Houston, Melissa (Scott) Perry and Timothy (Melissa) Henson and six great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Thursday, August 11, 2022, from 1 to 2 pm with funeral service at 2 pm at Flanner Buchanan-Floral Park. Entombment will follow at Floral Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hawthorne Community Center, 2440 W. Ohio Street, Indianapolis, IN 46222.
