Laura M Hamilton

Laura Marion Hamilton, 89, of Avon, Indiana, passed away on Monday, December 19, 2022. She was born on April 29, 1933, in Rochester, New York, to parents, Boyd and Bessie (Campbell) Babcock.

Laura enjoyed being around all of her family members and attending their activities throughout the years. She also enjoyed trips to her favorites malls to shop and enjoyed gathering at her local McDonalds to visit with a dedicated group of friends. She enjoyed a career in retail for several years and took pride in the coveted title of “excellent housekeeper”.

Laura’s faith was important to her as she was a longtime member of Holy Spirit Church.

Laura is survived by her children, Debbie (Mark) Wiley, Barbara Long, Donna Peacock and George Hamilton, Jr. Grandchildren: Mark Allan Wiley, James Craig Wiley (Darcy), Shannon Leslie Franklin (CJ) , Sarah Lizabeth Barker (Clayton), George Patrick Wiley (Jenny) , Benjamin Cyrus Long (Kia) Katie Dyan Patton, Paige Hamilton, Candice Marie Keleher (Mike), Anthony Vance Pelley, Myranda Anne Peacock, Emilee Louise Peacock and 22 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents Boyd and Bessie Babcock; and loving husband, George Hamilton, Sr.

A visitation for Laura will be 10am-12pm on Thursday, January 5, 2022, at Flanner Buchanan Memorial Park – 9350 E. Washington St., Indianapolis, IN 46229, with a Mass of Christian Burial immediately following at 12pm at Flanner Buchanan, with burial to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
