Keith Emmett Mcdonald

August 10, 1946 — November 16, 2022

Fishers, IN

Keith McDonald, 76, of Carmel died of a broken heart on November 16, 2022. He went to be with the Lord and join his wife Kathy in the Kingdom of Heaven. He was born on August 10, 1946 to his parents, Emmett and Dorothy (Cook) McDonald.

In 1970, Keith married the love of his life Kathleen L. (Lyons) McDonald. They shared 38 wonderful years together.

He proudly served his country in the United States Army and served as a military police officer.

A very hardworking man, he worked in manufacturing at General Motors until retiring.

He and Kathy were longtime Pendleton residents and valued members of Pendleton United Methodist Church.

Keith was a strong, intelligent, and loving gentleman. He was a humble man with great integrity. Keith also was an extreme giver, giving to those in need and expecting nothing in return. He loved being in nature, fishing, studying history, especially the Civil War, and being on the water. He took great pride of his garden and all the pretty birds attracted to his yard. He was a lifelong animal lover.  Keith loved to travel. He took his family on annual vacations, a tradition his family is happy to continue. It was hard to beat him in a card game, and he was a lifelong Pacer and Colts fan. After retiring, he enjoyed building model ships.  Above all, Keith was a family man. He adored spending time with his family and friends.

He will be sorely missed by all who knew him.

Keith is survived by his children: Angela Kristine (Concepcion) Ledezma and Brian (Kim) McDonald; grandchildren: Michael McDonald, Vanessa McDonald, Matthew McDonald, Thomas McDonald, and Joshua Ledezma; and special friends: Kathy and Curtis Caplinger.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his devoted wife, Kathleen; grandchild Jacob Ledezma; Aunt Eleanor; and many loving furry companions.

Visitation for Keith will be Sunday, November 20th, at Flanner Buchanan Washington Park East, 10722 East Washington Street Indianapolis, from 2-3pm. His funeral will begin at 3pm. He will be laid to rest at Washington Park East Cemetery.
