Karen Rogers Hecht, 67 of Indianapolis, passed away on Thursday, March 1, 2018. Born in Brooklyn, NY, Karen moved to Indianapolis in 1980 and was heavily involved in ORT and other Jewish organizations. She is currently a member of Congregation Beth Shalom. A teacher for many years, her passion was teaching Special Education.
Karen is survived by her husband Ken; sons, Jason Glenn and David (wife,Sara) Glenn, daughter Jaime Levinberg; grandchildren, Hadley, Brady and Emery Glenn, Brooke and Zach Levinberg; step-granddaughters Chava and Rivkah Bunes. She is also survived by her mother, Georgia Rogers; siblings, Janice (husband, Elliott) Bennett, Stephen (wife, Lihy) Rogers, Jimmy Rogers, and Gary (Jilly) Rogers. Karen will also be forever remembered by numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Harry Rogers.

The funeral will be held at Flanner Buchanan-Carmel, 325 E. Carmel Dr. at 12:00 pm Sunday, March 4, followed by a burial service at Beth-El Zedeck Cemetery 10000 Eller Road, Fishers. Shiva will be held at Karen’s home: 1763 Cloister Drive, Indianapolis, IN 46260 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm on Sunday (3/4), Monday (3/5) and Tuesday (3/6).
