Joyce M. Webber

Joyce M. Webber, 83, of Indianapolis, passed away on Sunday, July 2, 2017.

She was born on January 27, 1934 in Indianapolis, to the late Ralph E. and Frances VanDerMeulen. Joyce attended IPS #69 and maintained a close relationship with her classmates. She graduated in 1952 from Broad Ripple High School and worked for over 30 years for Simon and Schuster. Joyce was also an avid flower gardener and enjoyed birds. She loved to make cards for friends and family, and cherished her special pets. Joyce was a member of the Millersville O.E.S and Job’s Daughters, having served as a Past Honored Queen in the Bethel Lodge #3.

Joyce was the beloved mother of Sherry Morgan and Karen (Robert) Davids. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Angie (Dave) Jaggers, Amy Morgan, Steven (Kerri) Davids, Emily (Kyle Greskamp) Morgan, Stacy (Tim) Kummer; and 9 great-grandchildren. Joyce leaves behind her loving sisters, Linda Sweet and Susie (Clay) Fly; and former son-in-law, Ron Morgan. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald E. Webber; and grandson, Scott Jones.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 7, 2017 at Flanner and Buchanan – Washington Park East from 5-7pm with additional calling on Saturday at 1pm, followed by the funeral service at 2pm. Burial will follow in Washington Park East Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are encouraged to the Cavalier Rescue USA or the National Audubon Society.
