JOY L. THOMPSON MYERS 

Longtime resident of Traders Point area, Joy Lejune Thompson Myers, age 91 went home to her Lord on August 31, 2018, surrounded by her family.  She was born, January 5, 1927 in Terre Haute, Indiana to parents Pearl and Berlin Thompson.  Joy graduated from Arsenal Technical High School.  She married Jack Myers on July 4, 1947.  She was a member of Traders Point Christian Church and the Zionsville American Legion Post 79 Women’s Auxiliary.   Joy loved spending quality time with her family.  She enjoyed cooking, bowling and playing cards, especially Euchre.   

Joy was preceded in death by loving husband, Jack Myers; baby, Charles Steven; and parents, Pearl Marie and Berlin Thompson; brothers Eugene, Kenneth and Norman Thompson; grandson, John Austin Snyder.  Joy is survived by brother Charles (Sondra) Thompson; children Pam (Jeffrey) Ottinger, Greg Myers, Christie Snyder, Steven (Vicki) Myers; grandchildren Stacey, Chas, Angie, Carlie, Jamey, Madeline, and Gracelyn; great grandchildren Koryn, Abe, Ella, Jonah, Addy, Lydia, Jack, and Barrett.  

The funeral services will be held at Flanner  Buchanan-Zionsville 105 West Pine St., Zionsville, IN.  Visitation will be on September 7, 9:30-11:30 AM with a service at 11:30 AM.   Burial following at Old Pleasant Hill Cemetery on Moore Road.
