Joshua James Vahle

Joshua James Vahle, 23, Carmel, IN passed away December 19, 2017. He was born February 22, 1994, in Indianapolis, the son of Jay and Janet (Rosenberry) Vahle.

Josh was a 2012 graduate of Carmel High School where he lettered in cross country and track. His love and talent for running continued as a Jarhead at Taylor University where he received his bachelor’s degree in English Education in 2016. He was blessed to be part of the Traders Point Christian Academy teaching staff and embraced his 7^th and 8^th grade English students as he loved pouring into others. Josh was an active member of Mercy Road Church in Carmel. In addition to running and teaching, Josh was a talented artist that loved to draw. He enjoyed going to the movies and was an avid Colts and Pacers fan, who frequently paced in front of the television. It would be impossible to replace Josh’s ability to make someone laugh at any given moment or his incredible servant’s heart towards others.

He is survived by his loving parents, Jay and Janet Vahle; twin brother, Jacob (Angela) Vahle; sister, Kaitlin Vahle; brother, Caleb Vahle; paternal grandfather, David Vahle; maternal grandfather, James Rosenberry; beloved canine companion, Tidbit; and a large extended family of aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in passing by his paternal grandmother, Faith Vahle; and maternal grandmother, Marilyn Rosenberry.

Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Friday, December 22, 2017, at Flanner Buchanan – Carmel, 325 East Carmel Drive and from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Mercy Road Church, 2381 Pointe Parkway in Carmel. Services will follow and will be from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Mercy Road.
