Joseph Alan Covey

Joseph Alan Covey, 81, passed away in his home on August 3, 2022.

Joe was born on February 9, 1941 to Virgil and Orpha Covey in Indianapolis, Indiana.

After graduating from Warren Central High School, he went on to serve his country in the United States Army. Joe had an avid love of cars. He collected and restored classic cars, attended car shows regularly, and enjoyed NASCAR. He was a huge Tony Stewart and Jeff Gordon fan. Joe was also a long time East Side resident and will be missed greatly.

Left to cherish his memory are his sons, Thomas Covey (Kristi), Brian Covey (Katie), and Chad Covey; and grandchildren, Christian, Delaney, Rachel, Samantha, and Emily.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 9, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Flanner Buchanan – Memorial Park, 9350 East Washington Street, Indianapolis, Indiana, 46229 with graveside service and burial to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
