John Raymond Baker, of Camby, Indiana passed from this life on April 16, 2016 at the age of 94. He was born in Panola, Kentucky on October 21, 1921 to Ferris Eldon and Zella L. Pearson Baker. He served in the US Army during WWII and was a member of the VFW, American Legion and the Moose Lodge. He was also a 32nd Degree Mason, a member of the Scottish Rite and the Shriners.
He worked as a carpenter and even after he retired, enjoyed keeping busy. He always had little projects he was working on.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Rose "Vi" Baker, son, Donald E. Baker, son, James Robert Baker, granddaughter, Liz Lewis and siblings, Libby Baker, Gene Baker, Dykes Baker and Irene Baker.
Surviving to cherish his memory are his children, Carol Moore, Laura Myer Conaway, John Baker Jr., Joe Baker, Cathie Morris, Terri Humble and Mike Baker. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
