John Joseph Robinson, 57, Indianapolis, passed away June 22, 2017. He was born September 1, 1959, in Indianapolis, the son of John L. and Beverly A. Robinson.
John was a graduate of Carmel High School and received a BSEE from Purdue University. He was an exceptional Firmware Engineer, working on systems from interactive gas pumps to Indy series race cars. He was a founding partner of Servo To Go, Inc., the maker of a multi-purpose data acquisition module used worldwide. He loved spending time with family and friends and playing volleyball and card games.
He is survived by his mother, Beverly Robinson; brother, Gerard Robinson; four sisters, Karen (Thoralf) Brecht, Laure Robinson, Marla Hoyt, and Ronan (Douglas) Smith; nine nieces and nephews; and four great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in passing by his father, John L. Robinson.
Services will be 3:00 p.m. Sunday, June 25, 2017, at Flanner and Buchanan – Carmel, 325 East Carmel Drive. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service.
