John Edward Salmon Sr

John Edward Salmon, Sr., 85, passed away on September 1, 2022, a few days shy of his 86^th birthday.

He was born on September 10, 1936 in Tell City, Indiana, to Kerrigan and Marybell Salmon.

John entered the United States Army and proudly served his country in the 75^th Marauders while being stationed in Okinawa.

He married the love of his life, Loretta on May 26^th 1960. They were married for 59 years.

John was a talkative and friendly person. He would strike up a conversation with anyone. He loved fishing, bowling, playing computer games, and going shopping.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Bonnie Pry (Tim), John Salmon Jr., Candace Deane (John), and Sara Clair; grandchildren, JR, Shawn, Chad, Russell Jr., Amanda, Jake, and Brandon; and 9 great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. on Sunday, September 4, 2022 at Flanner Buchanan – Memorial Park, 9350 East Washington Street, Indianapolis, IN, 46229.Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until time of service. Burial will take place in Memorial Park Cemetery.
