John A. Cernero

Pastor John A. Cernero, 65 of Westfield, went to be with the Lord on Monday August 19, 2019, surrounded by his family. He was born on May 3, 1954 in Passaic, New Jersey to the late Nunziante and Rachel Cernero.

Together with his wife Kathy, John founded, and lead the community as Senior Pastor at Radiant Christian Life Church in Westfield. What started off as a dream, fueled by his intense love for helping others, Radiant Christian Life Church grew into more than a place of worship; it was home. John shared his life and teachings with so many people, and he will be truly missed by all who knew him.

John is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Kathy Cernero; sons, Jonathan (Heather) Cernero, Dr. Jeremy (Dr. Betsy) Cernero, James (Adriane) Cernero, and Joshua (Stephanie) Cernero; grandchildren, Emily, Jovan, Suzan, Lucia, Amaziah, Malachi, Giana, Rose, and Cambria; twin brother, Reverend James (Mindy) Cernero; brother, Reverend Mark (Dorothy) Cernero; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins who he adored. He is preceded in passing by his sister, Nancy Rae Cernero; and brother, Thomas Cernero.

Friends are family are invited to gather on Friday August 23, 2019 from 2:00 pm to 4:30 pm and 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm at Radiant Christian Life Church (16162 Carey Road, Westfield, Indiana 46074). A Celebration of Life Service will begin at 11:00 am on Saturday August 24, 2019 at the church. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Dragonfly Mission International or to John’s Memorial Fund.
